- eMarketer mentions that digital display ad spending through programmatic will cover 90 percent of overall ads in 2022. Moreover, eMarketer predicts that most of this budget will be used on mobile advertising; Facebook makes up around 60% of the programmatic mobile display ads in the US.
- An Insider Intelligence report forecasts that US digital ad spending will grow by nearly 50% in the next four years. By 2025, the digital ad market will top $300 billion—more than three-quarters of all media spending.
- According to Statista this year, Google was projected to generate 168 billion U.S. dollars in global online advertising revenue. This was followed by Instagram with an ad revenue of 78 billion U.S. dollars, Facebook comes in third with a revenue of 58 billion. Amazon is in the fourth place with a revenue of 44 billion, while Chinese online marketing technology platform Alimama rounded out the top five with 42 billion.
