Data-driven marketing has become super important, and almost 3 in 4 (71% of) marketers plan to increase their data / technology budgets this year, according to a survey from Lytics. The 100 go-to-marketers polled will also be making numerous changes to their data strategies. 58% will be adding new software and tools, while 56% will be updating their data infrastructure. 85% expect their marketing and advertising budgets to grow, including more than one-third (36%) who predict an increase exceeding 10%.
According to recent research from Informatica, data leaders said they need at least 5 data management tools. A majority (55%) of the respondents to that study also said there are more than 1,000 sources of data at their organization, making the need for those tools understandable.
Recent research by Morning Consult shows that Gen Zers turns to TikTok for news, with 1 in 7 (14%) saying they use the platform to research major news events. This makes them more likely to turn to TikTok than YouTube (13%), with no other social platform breaking the double-digit mark. Surprisingly, 36% of Gen Z adults and Millennials (combined) said they pay for at least 1 online news subscription.
