This Week in Digital Advertising Data (August 27th, 2021)

So let’s see what this week’s data says about digital advertising, shall we?

  • According to eMarketer’s report, US OOH (out-of-home) ad spending is expected to increase 14.5% this year for a total of $6.96 billion, but only 31.2% will go to digital ads.
  • eMarketer’s survey on email commerce shows that 9 in 10 people ages 15 and older in Canada said they used email in the past three months, making it the top digital activity in the country. It also shows that 85.9% of the respondants have engaged in select digital activities have done it after sending and receiving a couple of emails.
  • Marketing Charts’ study explains that 65% of marketers report using marketing automation tools for email marketing, while 47% currently use it for social media management.
  • According to AdExchanger’s article, Method Media Intelligence uncovered a connected TV fraud scheme that it is said to take in $10 million a month in ad revenue.
