This Week in Digital Advertising Data (April 22nd, 2022)

Let’s see what this week’s numbers say about online advertising, shall we?

  • According to the latest Media Quality Report, US Ad viewability rates improve for display:  69.8% to 72.3% for desktop display, 63.1% to 69.1% for mobile web display, and 82.3% to 89.3% for mobile app display.
  • Marketers on using automation tools: 31% said they’ll be shopping for a solution, versus 26% who won’t be in the market. 43% are unsure. Close to 1 in 3 respondents say their work is either fully (9%) or mostly (22%) automated, 47% marketers remain only partially automated. There is also a 22% of marketers whose strategy isn’t automated at all. You can read more here.
  • Ad revenues for short-video-sharing app TikTok and Chinese sister app Douyin will hit $31.66 billion this year to account for 5.3% of the global digital ad market, you can find out more through this eMarketer report.
